I have written complete guide to HEC Document Attestation, but HEC Document Attestation alone is not enough if you are going abroad. After your documents are attested from HEC, you should also get them attested from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan (MOFA). MOFA has camp offices in all provincial capitals this post is about Lahore only. If you are in Lahore, you need to visit MOFA Camp office in Shadman, below is the location on map.
Reach there just before 8:30 AM with your document to be attested. Do not forget photocopies of your documents from both sides. Also, you will need 25 RS POST office ticket to be stamped at the back side of your degrees. Either you can buy the ticket from any post office or you can also get them from the MOFA Camp office.
Photocopier is also available on campus.
Inside office, you will need a token number for your turn. On your turn, a representative will take documents from you and will return them within 30 to 50 minutes.
That’s it!!! the entire process is hazel free and straight forward.
Update: As per ProPakistan article, MOFA is launching QR code based attestation service. This is huge step to ease the process for common person.

Sir I had got attested the succession certificate as well as POA from Mofa and UAE embassy and sent them to UAE bank in connection with my deceased parents account over a decade ago. The bank did not make any development on the issue. I went there in september 2019 and was asked by lawyer to again produce original documents to pursue case which I had already sent to the bank over a decade ago. Now after coming to Pakistan I have got issued another power of attorney but in case of succession certificate the relevant court provided me with the attested copy of succession certificate with the explanation as the case is yet to be executed new succession case cannot be taken up in an already decided case. They said the attested succession certificate is a legal document in its place and its originality cannot be challenged. Plz tell me will the mofa attest it if i produce it for the same.
Really sad to hear this from you. It’s a decade old problem and still no fix. But brother I am not aware of the solution, you will have to contact MOFA for this.

Hi Aftab, you just need to provide your original documents along with photo copies. The fee can be submitted on the spot. As this service can be avail through Courier Service therefore I think you can send your blood relative on your behalf without any authority letter. All these details can be verify by calling HEC on their help line.

I am a PhD and have received work visa from Saudi Arabia. My degrees and transcripts have been attested by HEC. Upon Google search I was happy to find your this article stating only educational degrees are to be attested from Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Nevertheless, I got confused when I found other websites stating too many other documents need to be attested including Birth certificate, B-form, Matric and Intermediate certificate, POLICE CHARACTER CERTIFICATES, UNMARRIED CERTIFICATE etc.

Every country has their own standards. UAE requires only educational degrees to be attested. I am not sure about KSA but your employer must have told you about all the documents they need. If not, you can ask them.

If your documents are attested I would say use their soft copies if you can. This way you do not require to attest photocopies. On your original question, this can be answered by MOFA only.

In your case, I think MOFA needs attestation from the Certificate issuing authority. You should go early at MOFA take the information. if they attest well and good, if not then you will have enough time get your doc attested from relevant authority.

Normally, MOFA fee is very minimum in the form of post office tickets. I do not know fee for every document. MOFA attests every kind of document but it is always better to check with them to avoid any hazel.

As I am not official of MOFA but normally affidavit is attested by a magistrate which you get from notary public.

Please understand that I am not an official from MOFA, this blog explains the process I have gone through. Only Mofa can answer your question, but I think MOFA is the authority for these kind of document attestations.
For the pesticide registration, there is a document legalization requirement by the Pakistan Embassy of that very country. As there is NO Pakistan Embassy in Taiwan, so for a document legalization from Taiwan, what I have to do. From which office, I should have to get the document legalization in case there is NO Pakistan Embassy in Taiwan. Pls. advise.

Your university should have mention the required documents. if they say they need it then you need it. But normally, if you have your passport and NIC then no body ask for birth certificate.

And also my bachlr degree is already attested from Hec still there is any need of get it registered by MOFA while going abroad ??
I am not aware of driving licence attestation, for degree its always better to get it attested from MOFA.

Sir MOFA is now refusing to attest photocopies what to do in that case if someone need badly to attest copies only ?

Hi, Please contact the office for the correct answer. Or what you can do you can take all available documents with you, if all is fine then well and good, if not then you will not the missing documents. arrange them and get your nikah nama attested.

You can attest your photocopies and originals. whatever you show them should have original stamps on it. Rest I cannot confirm you as I am not officially representing MOFA. I just wrote my experience with them.

Dear Athar, normally UAE requires document to be attested by MOFA and UAE Embassy. As your friend is here in UAE he can find many people provide services for document attestations.
